As the population ages, and the budgets grow tighter for health care, it is getting harder for the health care system to meet the expectations of the consumer. In a world of increasing self-awareness and personal devotion to one’s own health, people around the globe are opening their minds to more alternative forms of medicine and therapy. In a 39-part documentary series, Beyond Medicine provides a journey into the world of people whose lives have been enriched, changed and perhaps, saved by the growing techniques and practices of a new medical phenomenon.
