From the dawn of time to the present day, societies have strived to create explanations for things not easily understood, from strange noises in the darkness to the fact of our existence. Whether rooted in fact or in fantasy, myths and legends maintain a strong power over the human imagination, a hold which allows them to endure and evolve throughout the ages. Legend Hunters, a new documentary by Partners in Motion, looks at two of these myths – the story of Noah’s Ark and the legend of the Holy Grail – actively seeking out the origins of these tales, while exploring their manifestations in the twenty-first century. Legend Hunters will travel throughout the world, speaking with the experts and true believers, the skeptics and the naysayers, combining their testimony with dramatic re-enactments and stunning visuals, while working with the latest scientific techniques to seek out potential clues to these stories, which continue to capture our hearts and our imaginations. Partners in Motion is currently in production on two 60 minute pilot episodes, with the intention of producing a full series.
	Pilot episodes: Episode #1 • The Holy Grail Sought for millenia by knights and by Nazis, the Holy Grail represents the ultimate treasure to the one who possesses it. Generally considered to be the cup from which Christ drank at the Last Supper, the grail could also be a stone, a book, or even the bloodline of Jesus himself. What is it really? Investigate these and other mysteries with Legend Hunters. Episode #2 • Noah’s Ark No story has stirred the imagination of the faithful, and created as much controversy between scientists and theologians, than the Biblical story of the Great Flood and Noah’s Ark. What evidence exists? Does the Ark rest on the slopes of Mount Ararat in Turkey? Is it an allegory for the seasonal flooding of the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, a rewriting of the Epic of Gilgamesh? Or is the Ark story borne of a cataclysmic flood on the Black Sea, which drove a displaced populace into the Holy Land with tales of God’s wrath? Episode #3 • The Holy Grail & Noah's Ark
