The Victoria Cross has been awarded only for the most ‘conspicuous act of bravery, or some daring or pre-eminent act of valour or self sacrifice or extreme devotion to duty in the presence of the enemy’, the stories of the actions of the recipients is nothing short of amazing.

The stunning valour that brought these soldiers to honourable mention and nomination for the Victoria Cross will command the attention and respect of the viewers as the dramatic stories and re-enactments unfold.

1 in 10. That is the estimated chance a soldier has of actually surviving an act of bravery that would be worthyof consideration for the Victoria Cross. The criteria has been met by only 1,354 individuals since 1856. Canada can proudly claim 94 of her citizens as recipients.

Partners’ in Motion has worked closely with the Department of National Defense, Veterans Affairs, other veteran’s groups, military organizations and museums, soliciting their expertise and resources in the grand-scale battle re-enactments.

Stories of six Canadian Victoria Cross Recipients will be re-enacted, each story as its own ten-minute segment, including the story of the 1 surviving Canadian recipient. Personal reminiscences, photos, news footage, newspaper clippings etc., and full-scale battle re-enactments will be used to tell these incredible stories of valour.
