Take exotic, far-away places, add a good legend and a real, modern day Indiana Jones and you have Legend Hunters, the show that follows modern legend hunters to the ends of the earth.

Legend Hunters aired as a successful pilot in which we followed historical detectives to find what some believe to be the actual Holy Grail itself. The success of the pilot has inspired further episodes.

This new incarnation of Legend Hunters features the latest research about the most well known legends, from Bigfoot to UFO’s, but it goes beyond academia. This show is really about the people who have dedicated their lives to solving some of the world’s greatest mysteries, albeit in unorthodox ways. They are not academics sitting in dusty inner-offices reading books, they are amateurs on the fringes of Science, strapping on hiking boots, jumping on planes, and hunting for people who live and die by the legends and places that really exist. This is about the man in the Yukon who has developed his own Bigfoot DNA collection unit, or the crop circle expert who carries his homemade ‘biophysical anomaly detection system’ into farmers’ fields. These people follow every clue with passion, determination and certain bravery.

In Legend Hunters, we go along for the ride, following these pseudo-detectives into uncertain terrain. Will we find Bigfoot or King Arthur’s grave? Or even see the real Loch Ness Monster? We’ll sure have fun trying! New episodes feature sweeping HD cinematography sets the scene and high-end reenactments recount the stories as we join these characters on the trail of the world’s greatest legends.

Adventure and mystery will be foremost, flavoured by legend, travel and History. This is not a show of ‘talking heads’ – this is about the active search; meeting the people, seeing the land, and experiencing the passion of those who believe that these legends not only exist, they are well within our grasp.
