COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT
As part of Partners in Motion overall mandate to provide ongoing support to the community in order to benefit not only the film and television production industry but all aspects of society, the company provides support in the areas of arts and culture, amateur sport, education, and volunteer groups both through financial contributions and donations in kind. Partners in Motion strongly believes that all organizations and individuals must contribute to the development of a better community and it also strives to give back to business, government and society for their ongoing support.
Arts and Culture: Partners in Motion believes it is important to sponsor events in the community to support arts and culture in the community. Some of the events the company has sponsored in the past include: The Yorkton Golden Sheaf Awards, International Students Film Festival, Saskatchewan Showcase Awards, Gemini Awards, Saskatchewan Science Centre, Radius Communication (local non-profit radio station), Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce ABEX and Paragon Awards, Regina Symphony Orchestra, Luther College Arts and Drama Program and the Pense community centennial event.- Amateur Sport: Partners in Motion has sponsored the Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fame, Saskatchewan Roughriders, Regina Pats, Regina Rams and Kidsport.
- Education:Partners in Motion continued to renew its annual scholarships with the University of Regina (Partners in Motion Scholarship in Media Production), SIAST Wascana Campus and SIAST Woodland Campus (Centennial Merit Scholarship for Media Arts Production and New Media Communication). In addition, Partners has also added two achievement awards for both of its SIAST scholarships. In former years, Partners in Motion was involved in establishing a film camp in conjunction with the Saskatchewan Film Cooperative in order to provide training support for youth within the province and represent the company's dedication to ongoing benefit to the community.
- Volunteer Community Groups:Partners in Motion participates in various community charity events through the year including the Scotiabank/Scotia Mcleod Charity Golf Tournament for Regina Women’s Transition House, Special Olympics Saskatchewan, Forzani Group Run for Charity, Child Find Saskatchewan, Saskatchewan Schizophrenia Society, Saskatchewan Sports Hall of Fall, Regina Symphony Orchestra, Veterans Association of Canada, Dilawri Gala for the Hospitals of Regina Foundation, Dugald Train Memorial, Breast Cancer Screening Ride, Z99 Radio-thon, Phoenix Golf Charity Classic, HJ Linnen Golf Tournament and the Salvation Army Adopt a Family.
Partners in Motion chooses to integrate their involvement into the community with its main business activities as an integral aspect of operations. The publicity committee meets on a regular basis to formulate objectives, plans and the implementation of activities for community involvement. Each year the committee formulates ways in which it can benefit the community and incorporate objectives into an overall plan. As can be seen above, not all activities are related to the industry or business activities, and Partners will also consider sponsoring events that are of significance to their employees which will result in significant benefit to the community.
