CORPORATE PROFILE

Since its creation in 1993, Partners In Motion has grown and matured into a multi-dimensional, multi-purpose entertainment entity engaged in the development, production and distribution of comprehensive, award-winning media programming seen in more than 150 countries around the world and heard in over 30 languages.

Partners In Motion is a team of more than forty passionate, talented individuals dedicated to the creation of smart, imaginative and entertaining non-fiction programs and television series, with a focus on science and technology, lifestyle, history, crime, and mystery.

Partners In Motion fully integrates its television programming as part of a complete, interactive multi-media package that includes high-end digital animation, convergent websites, webisodes, mobile applications, mobisodes, and other Internet applications.

As part of its constant evolution to meet the demands of a changing industry, Partners In Motion has created Gyro Productions Inc. (www.gyroproductions.com), a sister company specializing in commercial, corporate and service production for national and international clientele.

Furthermore, Partners in Motion has launched its new mobile company - Pocket Media Inc. (www.pocketmedia.ca), in August of 2010.  Pocket Media encompasses “everything mobile” and this range of services includes mobile applications and other digital media for various platforms including the iphone, ipad and Android devices.

Also part of the Partners In Motion family is Harmony Entertainment Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary established in 1997 as a private film financing and distribution company dedicated to investing in high-quality productions for the international market.  Harmony’s international distribution division currently represents over 400 hours of documentary, lifestyle and reality-based programming, as well as Partners In Motion’s own stock footage and music libraries.

Recognized for its commitment to excellence and innovation in all areas of media production, Partners In Motion has received many key national and international awards, including Canada’s Gemini Award, the New York Film Festival Award, and the television industry’s most prestigious tribute, the American Emmy®, for the compelling documentary 13 Seconds: The Kent State Shootings.

Partners In Motion has also received numerous business excellence awards from both the Regina and Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce, including the province's highest honour, the Saskatchewan Chamber of Commerce ABEX Business of the Year Award.

From conception to delivery, Partners In Motion is determined to remain current and competitive, regularly upgrading its equipment and in-house production capabilities, placing it at the cutting edge of High Definition, television’s most exciting new broadcast format.  The company’s field equipment now includes two Panasonic HD Varicam 24P cameras offering variable frame rates from 4 to 60 fps, a Panasonic HDX-900, 720P/1080i HD camera and two Sony HVR-Z1U HDV cameras with 1080i capabilities.

High Definition cameras are complemented by a complete grip and electric package that offers everything any project would require.  Production lights run from small Arri tungsten fixtures all the way up to two 10K Mole Richardson Fresnels, with a range of tungsten and HMI lights in between.  All equipment is housed in one 24-foot production vehicle offering dock-height access. Other production vehicles include one 16-foot cube truck offering ground level access and two cargo vans.

To enhance these important improvements in the field, the company’s post-production division has installed the state-of-the-art Avid Unity System to manage two Avid Media Composer Adrenaline HD edit suites and another two Avid Standard Definition suites, as well as Audio Suite complete with pro tools.

This level of vertical integration not only opens up a new world of technical and creative possibilities, but allows Partners In Motion the opportunity to offer its clients top-of-the-line production value at a very competitive price.
