Partners in Motion WINS Best of Saskatchewan!

Emmy® Award-Winning Partners in Motion proudly accepted the award for "Best of Saskatchewan" at the 2005 Yorkton Short Film and Video Festival. Their winning documentary, Escape from Iran: The Hollywood Option, aired on History Television and will air on PBS and Historia in 2005.

Escape from Iran: The Hollywood Option is about the event commonly known as the 'Canadian Caper'. Twenty-five years ago in Iran, the CIA and Canadian Government joined forces in a covert operation called 'The Hollywood Option'. It would be the most dangerous diplomatic operation in Canadian history.

"We are immensely proud of this project," says Chris Triffo, Director and President of Partners in Motion, "We gained unprecedented access to key participants, such as the hostages, Joe Clark, Ken Taylor, Antonio Mendez and Empress Farah Pahlavi, wife of the former Shah of Iran. They were essential to telling this story. We are honored by their participation."

Escape From Iran was produced with the involvement from History Television, The Canadian Television Fund, Telefilm, Saskfilm, Saskatchewan Film Employment Tax Credit and CAVCO.

Partners in Motion also received wins at WorldFest-Houston, the oldest Independent Film & Video Festival in the world. Very Odd Jobs won Platinum in Best TV Series (Family / Children), Escape From Iran won Gold for Political / Intl. Issues and Crime Stories won Gold for Documentary TV Series.
