PRODUCTION COMPANY SEEKS HISTORY'S GREATEST HEROS AND VILLAINS! January 7, 2011 (Regina, SK) Regina’s FB Productions, Inc. (A division of Partners in Motion) is looking for people who resemble history’s most notorious war makers for a new documentary series called EDGE OF WAR. EDGE OF WAR will chronicle the events that have led to armed conflicts worldwide. The first season includes little-known stories that happen just prior to the invasion of Poland by Nazi Germany in 1939, the Inchon Assault in Korea in 1950, the Battista/Castro confrontation during the Cuban Revolution, the Iran/Iraq war of 1980, the invasion of The Falkland Islands in 1982 and the US special forces removal of Panamanian dictator Manuel Noriega in 1990. The series will be hosted by US General (Ret.) Wesley Clark. PIM’s Executive Producer Ron Goetz and Chief Operating Officer Jeff Stecyk presented the project at several television markets, landing the contract with Discovery Communications in May. The series will broadcast in prime time on (Discovery) Military Channel in the United States. It will also air in multiple languages on various Discovery networks throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Now well along in the research phase, broadcast producer Simon Dekker promises a highly entertaining series that will feature military re-enactments shot right here in Regina. “One of our biggest challenges is finding people who look enough like history’s greatest villains and heroes”, says Dekker, “but these are great roles for actors and non-actors alike, and I hope we can cast many, many local individuals in these key roles”. The search for performers has already begun. FIRST BATTLES will be seen locally on SCN and on Historia in French-Speaking Canada. Jeff Stecyk |
