“Leonardo da Vinci” Inventions Re–Invented
The Provost and District Museum Society has partnered with Saskatchewan-based Emmy award-winning entertainment company Partners In Motion to present a new exciting exhibit.
This exhibit features a unique collection of inventions from the hit television series “The Re-Inventors”. The Re-Inventors research original patent designs from history; build them, test them, and try to make them work. All types of inventions are built. This original Canadian high definition series is in its third season and can be seen in Canada on History Television and Historia. The series is also broadcast throughout the world on various channels including Discovery HD International, ABC Australia, Discovery Asia, Channel 4 and TV2.
Some unusual pieces are on display, such as the Leonardo da Vinci Gun, Leonardo da Vinci Tank and Leonardo daVinci Chariot. The da Vinci Gun is likely the only working life size-firing model of his invention that exists in the world today!
These inventions are on loan to the Provost and District Museum from the producers, Partners in Motion - an award winning, full-service media production and distribution company that balances national and international documentaries, docudramas, co-productions, corporate work in film and video production, standard and high-definition television series as well as multimedia and digital animation.
This exhibit will be showcased at the Provost and District Museum as of its Grand Opening. Hosts Matt and Jeremy of the Re-Inventors will be attending, as well as series director, Chris Triffo and executive producer, Ron Goetz. Local dignitaries will also be speaking.
