SEAN WICKS

Corporate Producer

Entering a career in Entertainment was an easy choice for Sean Wicks, a lifelong Cinema buff whose early jobs were all in Home Entertainment retail.

In 1994 he made the move to Los Angeles where he attended Columbia College – Hollywood.  Graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts in Cinema and Television, he went on to intern for Producer Chuck Gordon at Daybreak productions based at Universal. 

Later he worked with Producer Andrew Lazar at Mad Chance, a feature film production company with a first look deal at Warner Bros. first as Development Assistant then later as Creative Executive.  During his time there he was a member of the creative team for the films: 10 THINGS I HATE ABOUT YOU (1999, Touchstone), THE ASTRONAUT’S WIFE (1999, New Line Cinema), PANIC (2000, Artisan), SPACE COWBOYS (2000, Warner Bros.), LUCKY NUMBERS (2000, Paramount), CATS & DOGS (2001, Warner Bros.), DEATH TO SMOOCHY (2002, Warner Bros.), CONFESSIONS OF A DANGEROUS MIND (2002, Miramax), CATCH THAT KID (2004, Fox) as well as the early development for GET SMART (2008, Warner Bros.) and JONAH HEX (2010, Warner Bros.).

Sean then joined the Creative Services team at Alliance Atlantis and later Canwest where he Co-ordinated the production for all on-air promotions and image campaigns for Showcase, Showcase Action, Showcase Diva, IFC, TV Tropolis, Deja View, Mystery and Lone Star.  He was an integral part of the launch of Showcase HD for which he received recognition.

Sean comes to the company after 2 years as a Creative Story consultant in Los Angeles.
