50 year anniversary - Kent State Shooting
50th year anniversary of the Kent State Shooting.
It's hard to believe that the Kent State Shooting happened 50 years ago on May 04, 1970. The Kent State shootings took place on May 4, 1970, when unarmed college students were shot by the Ohio National Guard at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, during a mass protest against the bombing in neutral Cambodia by the United States military forces. T
wenty-eight National Guard soldiers fired approximately 67 rounds over a period of 13 seconds, killing four students and wounding nine others. I was happy to be the producer of the documentary "13 Seconds" that was aired over 20 years ago on the 30th anniversary.
It was also a great privilege to be a part of the creative team that was awarded an Emmy for our work on this production.
