When the stories of disasters enter our living rooms through the media, we are held spell bound, as if we have a common bond with the people being affected. The survivors of these world disasters are affected for the rest of their lives.
What was it like going through a life and death experience? How has that experience changed their view of themselves and the direction of their lives?
Where are these people now, who for a brief moment entered our lives as victims, heroes, and survivors? Their stories encourage us and their spirit of survival inspires us.
Each episode of Survivors examines several world disasters through the eyes of those who survived. Dramatic re-enactments mixed with the actual news footage heighten the impact of their stories.
